This hybrid online and practical course is the original live one-day workshop but now the academic portion and discussion are going to be delivered via a Zoom meeting which will last 4 hours maximum.

The practical portion will be a maximum of four hours and be delivered on different dates at the Austin Muscle Restoration Clinic – see address below.

The practical component will be limited to 4 participants maximum. CEU’s will still be provided as long as you schedule and complete both the online component and the practical component is completed within 12 months of the online course completion. The course completion certificate and CEU credit will be issued on the date of the completion of the practical component and be applicable for that calendar year. You will receive the Zoom meeting invitation once you have completed the registration process.

This course is eligible for 0.8  CEU’s for

NASM, NSCA, ACE, NCSF, PTA Global, and NCBTMB, and Canfitpro for PTS and FIS 4 units,

This course explores the relationship between your client’s bio-motor control quality and their report of pain and other sensations they don’t like with exercise.

It explores the scope of practice issues and the role and responsibilities of Exercise Professionals in working with Pain within the context of exercise.

This is an introductory course for the full Muscle System Specialist Course LIVE! or online.

It is a great one day course to take to get a feel for the Muscle System Specialist Philosophy and Methodologies.

This is a hybrid course meaning that the first 4 hours are attended via a Zoom Webinar and then the 4 hour practical is performed at a later date within the calendar year.

This course, useful for any professional who is involved in the exercise industry as a corrective exercise specialist or therapist, personal trainer, or strength and conditioining coach dealing with a client reporting pain – even after medical care has been completed.

This 8-hour, one-day course has been developed by Greg Mack, ACE Certified Medical Exercise Specialist. Greg has 28 years of professional practice experience, founded Physicians Fitness, LLC, the Exercise Professional Education LLC, and has developed the Muscle System Specialist Certification Process.

Course Objectives and Goals

  • Identify the dilemma of addressing client subjective and objective problems with their bodies as local sensation being interpreted as a local problem, limiting potential solutions to local intervention.
  • Explore the hypothesis that there is a potential relationship between bio-motor control quality and physical sensations.
  • Address the controversy surrounding non-licensed practitioners (i.e. personal trainers) interacting with individuals with disease and subjective reports of pain within the exercise process.
  • Learn new skills you can use to assess and possibly improve your client’s bio-motor control quality.
  • Contextualize the use of exercise and its potential to impact individual sensations such as pain.
